There are 7 ways to add food to your food diary

  1. The search bar

  2. The barcode scanner

  3. Using the Label Scanner

  4. From a recipe you created

  5. Using the Quick Add feature

The search bar

  1. Go to the diary tab in Carbon

  2. Select the blue “+” sign next to the meal you wish to add a food entry to

  3. At the top of the page, type the food you want to add, and the app will automatically start searching for it.

  4. Select the food you wish to add

  5. Select the serving amount and type

  6. Select add food

The barcode scanner

  1. Go to the diary tab in Carbon

  2. Select the blue “+” sign next to the meal you wish to add a food entry to

  3. You will see a barcode icon in the far right of the search bar. Select this.

  4. This will open the barcode scanner via your device’s camera. Scan the food you want to add.

  5. Once the barcode has been read by the scanner, this will pull up the item’s database entry.

  6. Select the serving amount and type

  7. Select add food
