Embarking on your Carbon journey with a partner or friend and want to effortlessly share those macro-friendly recipes? Our custom food sharing feature makes meal tracking between users a breeze!

How to share a recipe or custom food:

  1. Find the recipe or custom food you want to share.

  2. Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select "Enable Sharing."

  3. A new screen will pop up. To share the recipe, you can either:

    1. Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner and copy the URL or share code to send via text, email, etc.

    2. Tap the share code on the screen to copy it, and your friends can import the recipe using that code.

If you have enabled the sharing of a recipe or food, you will see a sharing icon on the right-hand side of the recipe/custom food name on the recipe/food screen or in your list of recipes/custom foods.

How to import a recipe or custom food:

You have two ways to import a recipe or custom food:

  1. Click the link to the recipe that has been shared with you and tap "Import recipe."

  2. If a share code has been shared with you, tap the floating menu button in the bottom right corner of the diary tab or tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the recipe screen and select "Import shared" > enter the share code and tap search > import recipe.

How to unshare a recipe or custom food:

  1. Find the recipe or custom food you want to stop sharing.

  2. Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select "Disable Sharing."

Things to note:

  • Once a recipe or custom food has been imported by a user, any modifications you make to the shared recipe or custom food will not update the importer's food records.

  • Enabling a recipe and custom food will make them available to all Carbon users who have the share code.

  • Disabling a recipe or custom food will not remove it from a user who has already imported it.
