Having trouble getting weight/body fat into Carbon or your nutrition data into other apps? Start here.
How Data Flows (so you know where to look)
Weight & Body Fat (into Carbon)
You step on your smart scale →
Your scale’s app saves the data →
Data goes to Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android) →
Carbon reads it from there.
Nutrition (from Carbon to other apps)
You log food in Carbon →
Carbon writes nutrition to Apple Health / Google Health Connect →
Other apps (that you allow) read it from there.
Once data is visible in Apple Health or Google Health Connect, Carbon’s part is complete. If another app doesn’t show that data, the issue is with that app’s Apple Health/Google Health Connect integration.
Quick Checks Before Troubleshooting
You’ve enabled the integration in Carbon: Settings → Integrations.
Permissions are granted in Apple Health / Google Health Connect for the correct data types (Weight, Body Fat; and for nutrition: Energy, Protein, Carbs, Fat, etc.).
You’re on the latest versions of Carbon and your device/app(s).
Fix: Weight/Body Fat Not Showing in Carbon
Confirm the data exists in the hub
Open Apple Health / Google Health Connect and check today’s Weight/Body Fat entries.
If it’s not there, fix the sync between your scale app ↔ Health/Health Connect (contact your device/app support).
Perform Sync now in Carbon
Settings → Integrations → Apple Health/Google Health Connect
Tap Sync now → Sync weight logs
Check permissions
Apple Health: Health app → profile → Apps → Carbon.
Health Connect: Health Connect → App permissions → Carbon.
Ensure read access for Weight and Body Fat.
Body fat missing but weight shows?
Carbon only imports body fat if a weight exists relatively close time-wise (needed to calculate lean body mass).
Seeing duplicates?
Usually multiple apps are writing the same measurement.
In Apple Health/Google Health Connect, review the source list for Weight and disable extra writers in their respective apps.
Historical data:
Carbon imports from the Starting date shown on the integrations screen.
Fix: Nutrition Not Showing in Other Apps
Confirm Carbon is writing to the hub
In Carbon: Settings → Integrations → Apple Health/Google Health Connect → ensure enabled.
Check permissions to write (and read on Android) nutrition data.
Verify entries in the hub
Open Apple Health / Google Health Connect and check Nutrition totals/entries for the specific date.
Perform Sync now in Carbon
Settings → Integrations → Apple Health/Google Health Connect
Tap Sync now → Sync diary entries.
If the hub has your nutrition but another app doesn’t
That app must support reading nutrition from Apple Health/Health Connect.
Open that app’s settings and ensure permissions are granted.
If it still doesn’t display, contact that app’s support. Carbon can’t control how other apps read from the hub.

Still stuck?
Double-check the data exists in Apple Health / Google Health Connect.
Disable the integration in Carbon, tap Clear data, re-enable the integration, adjust the Starting date, tap Sync now.
