Carbon Diet Coach is your solution for results that LAST.

Whether your goal is to lose fat, build muscle, improve your metabolism, or simply maintain your weight, Carbon Diet Coach removes the guesswork. Carbon Diet Coach is a science-based nutrition app designed by renowned nutrition coaches Dr. Layne Norton (Ph.D. Nutritional Sciences) and Registered Dietitian Keith Kraker (BS Dietetics).

It does everything a normal nutrition coach would but at a fraction of the cost. You will get a customized nutrition plan based on YOUR goals and metabolism. What's more, Carbon will adjust the plan as you progress to optimize your results. If you hit a plateau or stall, Carbon will adjust to keep you progressing towards your goal, just like any good coach would.

Each setting is completely customizable so you receive a sustainable plan for YOU!

How does the coaching system work?

Our coaching system uses the latest nutrition science techniques to ensure you get the best results possible. All you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  • Choose a goal

  • Log your food using the built-in food tracker

  • Check-in each week

Choose a goal

Each goal in Carbon uses the concepts of flexible dieting and energy balance to set your macro targets. You can choose from four goals: lose weight, gain weight, maintain weight, or reverse diet.

Once you choose the best goal for you, the coach will analyze your weight, body fat, metabolism and provide you with calorie and macro targets you aim to hit each week.

Log your food using the built-in food tracker

From there, it's important to make sure you are hitting those targets provided to you by the coach when you created your goal. To make this easy, we have a built-in food tracker.

Check-in each week

Each week you will be prompted to check in with the coach. At check-in, the coach will ask you three questions.

  1. Were you compliant with your macros?

  2. What's your body weight, body fat (optional), and was your weight affected by your period if you are a female.

  3. Does the data you entered look right?

In tandem with the goal you set, the coach will use this data to provide new calorie and macro targets for the next week, if necessary, to keep you on track. For example:

  • If you are not losing enough weight, you will receive a calorie decrease.

  • If you are losing weight too fast, you will receive a calorie increase.

  • If you are on track, Carbon will hold your calories steady for the week.
