Setting custom macro targets

While Carbon is a coaching app, we have a feature that allows someone to input their own macros and still use our excellent tracker.

How to turn on custom macros

This can be done by going to settings -> macro targets and selecting "Custom." From there, a drop-down will appear where you can enter your protein, carbs, and fat targets. Once you set them, they will appear on the diary tab of the app.

Things to be aware of when using custom macros

The most important thing to be aware of when using custom macros is it disables the Carbon coaching feature. This means you will not receive any weekly adjustments to your macro and calorie targets from the app, which means you can't complete the check-in process within the app. You will still have access to the diary tracker features like recipes, quick add, copy meals, etc.
